Yomase Onsen Ski Area

Yomase Ski Area offers scenic views of Zenkoujidaira and the Japan Alps, while the little resort town has natural hot spas (onsen) to relax in the evenings. Despite being close to the major centers ( one hour and half by Shinkansen or 3 hours by car from Tokyo to Nagano ) Yomase offers an expansive terrain that suits mainly beginners and intermediate skiers with an option to night ski for the busy or the very enthusiastic. The advanced skier will be satisfied with the steep top of the mountain and the many options to join Yomase’s renowned race training programs. It is not a coincidence that Yomase is called the “Sport Resort” of Kitashiga.

Snow conditions in Yomase are excellent on most days due to an abundance of natural snow backed up by 23 snowmaking machines.
